shu uemura...the art of beauty

Hello! Another experience to share. Last June 7, 2015 I attended a beauty bootcamp hosted by Belle De Jour. I received a lot of freebies, gift certificate and complimentary vouchers. One of the vouchers I received is from shu uemura.

The first time I heard about shu uemura is when BDJ also included samples of their products in their lootbags last 2014. I am not really familiar with them. Based from their website, shu uemura is a japanese brand. They convey the bond between art and beauty to develop a brand that will be well accepted globally. It was founded by Mr. Shu Uemura.

So I decided to visit their branch at Alabang Town Center and use the voucher given to me. I made a research first where exactly their branch is. ATC is just a jeepney away from where I work. It will take around 5 minutes drive. It was a Friday afternoon. After office I went straight to their store. I had a difficult time looking for their store. So when I found their store, I found it amusing that the area is surrounded by other beauty stores. I am so thrilled to explore each store.

I took a picture of this area. I believe the man in the photo is Mr. Shu Uemura. Here different brushes, color palettes, skin regimen products and I believed complimentary bags and pouches given to customers who availed a certain amount were all displayed here.

So here is me waiting in one of their vanity tables. I love this vanity area. They also have another one right behind the mirror. Its bigger but I opted to sit here because there is another customer there.

These are the sample products in the vanity table.
The make-up artist arrived and started to work on my eyebrows. She first cleaned it using a mechanical razor. Then I felt she's lining it using a pencil and added a stroke of another product that will set the style in place. There was an awkward part here. So after styling my eyebrows, I interviewed her about their eyebrow products. When I asked the price I was shocked that all of the items were really expensive. I was really interested on buying the products but I said to myself "I think today I will pass". So I just decided to stand up say thank you and go. I felt embarrassed while walking.

I took this photo while walking! Major AWKWARD!!!
Overall, I like the products used to me. It's really interesting. My eyebrow styling was all in tact until I got home. Thanks shu uemura!
